On November 26, Korea University Sejong Campus hosted an invitation seminar at the Research and Business Cooperation Building. This seminar was part of the Regional Innovation Living Lab activities and aimed to explore the future directions for development in the bio-health sector.
The event was attended by Professor Baek Seungpil from the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, students participating in the Living Lab, graduate student mentors, and Professor Park Sookyung from Chungnam National University Sejong Hospital. Additionally, undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in sleep medicine also participated.
The seminar featured presentations on the current state of modern sleep health and its improvement strategies. Professor Park shared foundational and clinical knowledge on various sleep disorders, including normal sleep, insomnia, and sleep apnea, providing an opportunity to broaden participants’ understanding of the field of sleep medicine.
Participants discussed the direction of activities to improve the sleep health of local residents and proposed various ideas to contribute to the development of bio-health in Sejong City.
On a related note, this event was supported by the Local University Revitalization Project, one of the University Innovation Support Programs. It was jointly hosted and organized by Korea University Sejong Campus’ Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics and the Biological Clock-Based Anti-Aging Convergence RLRC.
