On November 19, Korea University Sejong Academic Information Center hosted the ‘11th Redaing PT Competition’ at the Nong Shim Hall. The competition, aimed at current students during the second semester of 2024, seeks to promote reading habits and foster a culture of reading.
This year, 40 teams participated in the preliminary round of the Reading PT Competition, which is twice the number from last year. Among them, 10 teams advanced to the finals selecting free-choice topics such as environment, humanities, and arts, read related books, created PowerPoint materials, and delivered 10-minute presentations without a script.
The final round was evaluated by a panel of judges composed of faculty and staff, alongside an audience evaluation team made up of students. Awards were given to one team for the Grand Prize, one team for the Excellence Award, two teams for the Merit Award, one team for the Audience Choice Award, and five teams for the Encouragement Prize. The Grand Prize team received 1.5 million won, while the Excellence Award and Merit Award teams received 1 million won and 750,000 won, respectively.
Director Lee Kiyong stated, “This year’s competition showcased students’ creativity and critical thinking through diverse topics. We plan to expand programs that support students’ academic growth in the future.”
